Warehouse raid X2

The party was able to scout out the location of where the stolen prototype was held, and set up a fake construction site to trap a delivery truck coming out of it. The trap was successful and the party was able to disable 2 thugs and commandeer the vehicle. The team waited a few days to when the truck was supposed to return, and they went in with a Trojan horse tactic. Unfortunately they were discovered, and when the box opened up, they had grenades waiting for them.
Halfway through the battle a cybernetically modified Herglic and a Gand burst in and attacked the party. One by one the party was dropped under the weight of their assault, with only Min Lo able to RUN AWAY LIKE A LITTLE GIRL SCREAMING FOR HER MAMMA. When Min Lo got outside and tried to run away he came face to face with a Nagaian force user that the party had fought before alongside a Catharian martial artist. The Nagaian struck Min Lo with a vicious blast of force lightning that felled him.
Instead of hitting the ground though, Min Lo froze inches from the ground, and then watched as time rewound itself. As the rewind reached the point where the party was on it’s way into the industrial complex, time froze and gave the party a chance to look around, Dylans voice whispered to them all to take a good look around. This happened twice and the party was able to see two differant sets of cameras that they had missed before. Then the rewind finished and the party all woke up around a fire with Rorryk nearby, and Dylan at the center.

Dylan had used an experimental force technique called a time bend. He sent the party forward, and then pulled them back so that they would be able to learn from their mistakes. Now after seeing where they went wrong the party was able to form a better strategy, and instead of waiting a couple of days, they went right back in that night.

Rorryk took to the sewers to cut the power, while Min Lo snuck in using his force abilities. Mclovin, and Kernel drove into the building with a truck after the power was cut, and jumped out before it crashed. After hearing the bang Rorryk set off the explosive charges.

Following this the party fought their way into the building and through the security force. This time when the Herglic and the Gand showed up, the party was in a much better position to fight them. Mclovin scored a critical hit against a weakspot on the Herglics circuitry that shut him down, and then Kernel called upon the dark side of the force and finished off the Gand with two shots of force lightning.

After the battle Dylan shadowported in to congradulate the party and commend them for stopping the Herglic without killing him. He explained that since Malice had removed the creatures original personality, it was basically a programmable shell. They could input some of their skills into the creature and use a remote interface to remote control him.

The party cashed in on the abundance of illegal firearms in the warehouse, searched through the computers to discover further information that Dormov was responsible for shipping freight into the center of the ocean where no one goes.

Mission accomplished.

i sense a disturbance in the force…

I will thanks. I’m sorry I wasn’t there. this month has been busy for me and I feel like I have abandoned you guys. I will be back with a vengeance and I can’t wait to work towards my destiny and to be busting caps into bad guys!

10/16/2010

I’m looking forward to you coming back in a hail of bullets as well.

10/16/2010

yeah, you add a measure of order to things andy. somehow a cart-wheeling gun slinging computer using trandoshan makes the game move.

my summary of last night: it was weird… somehow i joined up with the group around a campfire, no idea how really, buck and eric drove an exploding truck into a building and there was a shoot out. body count was something like 7 or so plus 2 super powerful guys and 6 crates of fancy weapons. you really didnt miss much though. 5+ hours and we made it through 1 or 2 encounters.

10/16/2010

oh, i found a cool slugthrower rifle too. i dunno if you are proficient with rifles at all, i am but i won’t likely use it.

jon, how much would that thing sell for or what would be the trade in value with hammer?

10/16/2010

Sickening. That weapon is a work of art, and you jackasses won’t even use it.

Hammer would be interested in having a toy like that to play with.

10/16/2010

I would gladly take it if I had proficient in Rifles. I wish I could take a couple levels in soldier just to get the proficiency in it.

10/16/2010

definitely a work of art, but id rather someone else got a powerful weapon besides me. maybe mclovin will go for it.

andy – the proficiency thing we would give you a -5 penalty but the gun has auto-fire so you can still do 1/2 damage on a miss

10/16/2010

and just for you jon, i’ll try the rifle, but no guarantees that i’ll keep it

10/16/2010

I want you to think about how the last game went, and think about how dangerous a challenge level 7, and a challenge level 8 NPC can be.
That said I’m not going to guarantee that I won’t bump it up to 9. Because I think you remember what happened last time you ran into two challenge level 9 NPC’s.

10/16/2010

yeah, everybody died. well i’ll give the rifle a shot but im skeptical about how much i’ll like it.

and instead of providing more powerful weapons you could just tone the CLs down a bit

10/16/2010

I could, and that would probably keep you happy, but then other people wouldn’t like it. I took it very easy on the party for a long time, and people started to comment on how things were to easy. So I started to stat NPC’s more moderately. Given that the A.P.L is about 7, a couple CL 7’s and 8’s aren’t that dangerous if you actually work together. The NPC’s are potentially more dangerous because I can and do co-ordinate them when they’re trying to kill you. On the other hand the party takes turns running at them, and then running away. If instead you guys worked more like a unit, I don’t think you would have as tough a time. And then on the important front, you get better EXP’s. You guys level up some more and then we can start getting deep into some people’s destiny’s. That’s what I’m really looking forward to.

10/16/2010

good points jon! i think those guys we fought this weekend were good. they went down after a few hits and they dealt a good amount of damage but it wasnt a nightmare like the other D guy… not dormon.. the clowtou guy… i forget his first name.

10/16/2010

Weapons director Dormov and Denray Clowtu. You really haven’t fought either of them. There was his hit squad of a Genrai and a big guy with a hammer. CL9’s and although it was a hard fought battle, you guys did win.

10/16/2010

yeah i remember the guys Denray guys name as soon as i got in the car. Denray is the twilek guy right? the one that taught me a good lesson after i barged in to his restaurant. and dormov is the ex-EVO dude.

10/16/2010

10/16/2010

so what is the next step in the grand scheme of things? we need to stop the deal between dormov and denray and we dont have a lot of time to dilly-dally. can we do find out where this weapons business deal is going to take place and cause an intervention? party, what do you think?

10/16/2010

You have the address where the deal is taking place. That was confirmed last session right at the end.

10/16/2010

sweet, i thought i heard something about that but i dont have my notes in front of me so i dont remember the finer points. thats cool. lets go kill em all

10/16/2010

yes. just checked and i did have that we confirmed the location in my notes. there armor will be more powerful. maybe we can get some information about what armor and weapons theyll be using so we can counter them at the time of the attack?

10/16/2010

Undermine my buffed NPC’s that are going to try and kill you!?

10/16/2010

yes, thats the plan.

10/16/2010

I can tell a lot happened last game. I finally know the Hutt lords name and the Twi’lek druggie name.

10/16/2010

I didn’t know that kernel was dark side force user.

10/16/2010

Just to clarify, the Hutt slaver’s name is still unknown. Denray Clowtu is the Twi’lek that’s allegedly leading the drug ring. Dormov is the former EVO employee that went rogue. As far as Buck’s character Kernel….SURPRISE!

Buck’s opinion on the force is interesting and thought provoking. He see’s it as the force is neither good or evil, it just has different aspects. On the other hand by Star Wars cannon, the dark side of the force works off of negative emotions, and leads invariably towards evil. If anyone continually draws upon the dark side of the force it’s simply a matter of time until they become evil.

10/16/2010

similar to some false religions and holidays. people think its perfectly fine and never realize whats going on behind it all. though to the point of bucks defense, the dark side is way more fun. seriously, 8d6 and 1 or 2 down the track is awesome.

10/16/2010

The Force itself is inherently neither good nor evil. It seeks BALANCE. That is why the Jedi were destroyed. The force saw them as an aberration. An imbalance. Thousands of light-side users without a corresponding dark side? The force manipulated events to balance itself out. Most unfortunate for the Jedi, but in some ways, they were as blinded by their own Force traditions as the Sith are.

10/16/2010

Agreed^

i think its funny how they all thought anakin would bring balance to the force by joining the lightside, but that wouldnt bring balance, that would make the lightside overpowered. DUH!

10/16/2010

Your right. He did bring balance to the force. There were two light side users and two dark side users after order 66 happened. The prophesy was twofold in that Anakin brought balance to the force and luke skywalker destroyed the sith for a time anyway.

10/16/2010

Was it decided when we were doing another session of RPG and where this weekend?

10/16/2010

i think we want to do one this weekend, we just dont know where. Jon, care to chime in?

10/16/2010

Someone hasn’t been checking his cell phone or email. And by that I mean Luke.

In case anyone missed it game will be at my place Saturday at 3pm. Bring your A game! I’m going to try and kill all of you!

10/16/2010

you are correct, but is sent you a reply last night via text. FYI, my laptop will be MIA for a few weeks.

10/16/2010

so where are we picking up this saturday?

10/16/2010

You recovered the prototype weapon, and recovered crates of Xerol Nightsingers. Your all standing around in a warehouse, Daniel and the police have shown up to process the area. You’ve also confirmed that Denray and Dormov are in the final stages of coming to an agreement for a deal, and the location of the warehouse where they’re at.

10/16/2010

ahhhhhh, good thing i asked. i thought for some reason that we were in the vehicle on the way to their location.
