Planet Ordoga

Threat assesment

Not a threat from me to be clear

Old threats were dealt with, but new enemies were created. There is a possibility that there are two separate corrupt senators that might be angered over a group of scalliwags messing with their stuff. The leader of the drug gang had a run in with Rorryk that didn’t go quite so well, he made it clear that he feels disrespected. Disrespected crime bosses are never a good thing. Malice is still out there plotting, two of his men attacked the group and they are still out there. One of them demonstrated that he can be spoken to without a fight, but the other one gave no such indication. Not to be forgotten is the Hutt leader of the human trafficing ring. It’s possible that either him or the Twi’lek are the ones that hired the mercenary’s that tried to gun down the party outside of Garvins office.

If there are any other threats that I may have forgotten or overlooked feel free to remind me.

i’ve definitely had it with that drug gang, but i think im going to lay low from them for a little bit and then hit them hard from all ends.

alllll right fellow campaigners… where are we going to go next? i’m really mad at this twilek drug guys. the only drug they’re going to be taking is a double dose of raging wookie! actually, i’d like to get some more info about the justice system on Ordoga. If at all possible and if the justice system isnt completely corrupt, i’d like to bring them into court and try them for their crimes and put them away, justice for the people. rather than justice for me.

Just my two cents, if the justice system was completely corrupt, you’d be in jail…....or worse.

Perhaps we can find a way to pit one of our opponents against another?

I mention this for the sake of Buck and Luke, and just in case Andy and Ryan forgot. The Hut and Twi’lek gangs were at war until recently. Maybe if you started to ask around with your allies you might find something out.

oh my, well that changes things. i wonder if they would ever consider an alliance? Alright, here are my plans. Party – Let me know what you think would work…

PLAN A – Destroy them all with orbital bombardment… PLAN B – Hold a weapons auction in which both gangs cannot resist, while they are in the buidling there is an “accident” and gunfire ensues resulting in major casualties on both sides. PLAN C – Hold an Alliance Banquet for the two gangs to consider an alliance, including much food, slaves, drugs, weapons and money. The event would be held in a nice elegant building in which the party and some of drayken’s NPCs serve as the wait staff and hosts. Detonie would be placed in critical locations near each table and with specific placement near both crime bosses. At such and such a time, the lights would dim, dancers would come out and BOOM. several explosions go off sending debris and chaos into the air. the tables that the drug lords are sitting at will be structurally weakened and they will fall through the floor to the level below where the local authorities and some PCs (buck, luke, ryan) will be awaiting them. while the banquet is going on, sobrask and juggernaut will lead a raid on both gang locations along with local police authorities and draykens elite commandos (assuming he has some of those). they will find evidence sufficient to put both crime lords away for a long time. the building will be set with a number of jamming devices to ensure no communications in or out, this means that all teams have to be right on time with no mistakes. gregory would work to acquire some resources to serve as ambulance/fire control to make everything look like an accident. the crime lords are taken away in an “ambulance” and brought back for questioning. PLAN D: same as plan B and C, but involve some trandoshan slavers and bring the whole lot of them down at once!

Plan A, oh boy. Plan B, oh boy. Plan C, oh you

i didnt mean for it to be The Italian Job (can i be Charlize Theron?). i was thinking, lets just get em in the building and blow it up! but that wouldnt be very nice, lets give these guys a trial and let the people have their justice. i figure there can be some guys doing construction on a nearby building which could explain the loud noises.

was it too much?

I want you guys to do things in a more cinematic fashion. That was part of the point of the new combat rules, to encourage fancy moves as opposed to “I move and attack.” Or Andy’s favorite(as in a joke he made a couple of games ago) “I stand there, and attack.” So if you want to set plans where you blow stuff up to get the bad guys, I would love to see you pull it off. The only caution is that the deal with Garvin relies on you doing more harm than good. So if you blow up a lot of stuff there needs to be a big payoff as far as bringing down a bad guy.

right. so how about bringing down 2 head crime lords! and only the original plan C involved bringing the whole building down, but yeah the revised plan C is to strategically place the explosive in the area around the crime lords so that only their section of the flooring actually comes down. it would require a lot of prep on the PCs part including analyzing the building, making sure the floors are strong enough to support a hutt and not fall through before hand. and i bet if we can get these trandoshan slavers that seem to be on planet, based on my assumptions from the temple, then Rorryk can bring them in too.

So benefits and cons listed below
  • Plan A: Pros: all the bad guys die. Cons: everything goes into a dead end
  • Plan B: Pros: everyone loves guns. draykens team probably wont have to do much as far as shooting since the crime lords will be doing it (hopefully). maybe we can turn some cash with selling weapons? CONS:expensive due to the amount and quality of weapons needed, maybe the local EVO branch can help but unlikely.
  • Plan C: PROS food and chicks. people get their justice (assuming we take them alive and win the court case) and drayken gets some more good media for a non-lethal take down and finding out the truth. limitted loss of life, the goal is to take them alive for questionning and confessions. limitted initial bad press, this won’t be tied to drayken immediately since all this is going to be undercover and quiet with nobody to say “Drayken blew up my baby again!”. no mark whalberg. CONS HIGH risk, if the plan doesn’t go perfect then we’re all in trouble. party will be seperated with no communication and nobody to catch us if we fall. court case could be thrown out and we could have bigger bounties on our heads. no charlize theron.

I’m intrigued, so I’ll say this. For the sake of fair play, do as much planning as you can with the guys out of my line of vision. As in private messages and email. That way I won’t be tempted to look for holes in your plan, although any show you watch has a curve to keep things interesting. Next point is I hope that somehow someway Luke is available on saturday, because this could be a very exciting session if you guys make a concerted effort to take some big time names down. As far as dead ending, don’t worry about it. I’m fairly obsessive compulsive about writing material, and I do have enough things in mind that I can go off the cuff and keep you gang busy without just giving you filler. I have enough liner notes and initial ideas that if you take out both gangs within a half hour of game time by some miracle I wouldn’t even blink. In the end I’m hoping as many of you as possible can be there for Saturday, I’m hoping you guys can have a super secret plan to take down my monsters.

Luke asked me a question via messenger and I wanted all of you to be aware of the answer. The reason being is because there was an NPC I forgot to add to the index.

Jacob, he was the undercover man researching the drug trade and reporting it to Garvin. He had a backup copy of a lot of his research that Strythus held onto for a little while before returning it to Jacob.

Last anyone knew he left Strythus a lead to a house where drugs were being produced and he hasn’t been seen or heard from since. If someone was to ask Drayken nicely maybe you could rifle through his stuff to find his old cell phone and try and get his contact number.
